Preface to the 6th edition
This book reproduces the text of previous editions without any changes. However, it is much more drawings, to the same color. Usually the illustrations help you better understand what is signified by the words. They awaken interest and is better remembered. As it turned out, many parents read this book with the children, and pictures are very helpful in their joint discussions and analyses of cases. I hope in this new form the book will appeal to readers of all ages.
I am deeply grateful to the artists Valerie Khmara and the Pauline Egorushkina, creatively embodied in the drawings of many interesting and difficult moments of communication between children and adults.

Preface to the 5th edition
This release is similar to the previous editions of the book unchanged.
I am very pleased with the constant desire of parents to improve their relationships with children. Readers are often asked to write “more” or “something else”. These requests inspire and make us think about the deepening and expansion of the main topics, the focus of this book. Hopefully, in the near future I will be able to fulfill the wishes of readers.

To help children to learn is to exercise day-to-day care of school Affairs: first to the house how the guys cope with the tasks, which are experiencing difficulties, which make mistakes, etc.
Many students with homework willingly make those lessons that are given to them easily, without much effort of thought. If such students do not have solved the problem with the move, they leave it and more to the task will not be returned. Why is it so? Here we need to specify not a very significant mistake that many parents in the upbringing of children: not instill in them such a valuable moral qualities as diligence. If the child is not accustomed to labor, the first failure in academic work cause unpleasant experiences, which are then transferred to the unwillingness to learn. The latter leads to failure and underachieving children for a long time lose interest in learning, to the acquisition of knowledge. So the first day of study it is necessary to accustom the child to intellectual work, to monitor the fulfilment of homework, to help overcome the difficulties.

Summer is the best time to conduct as much time as possible outside, especially for children – in fact, a growing body of air. However, not only this issue is of concern to many parents, but also the question of what to do with the child in the summer, so it was not boring, useful and entertaining!
